LONDON, ON – The next best thing to escaping the winter cold on a flight to the sunny south, is embracing the cold with ice skating! London International Airport is pleased to introduce our new ice rink! It is a large rink with lighting for night skating and is free to use.

“I enjoy playing hockey and skating with my family so I thought this would be a great way to utilize the space we have on our property. It’s a way to give back to the community and provide a fun and safe place for staff, tenants and the public to skate.” said Scott McFadzean, President and CEO.

The ice rink will be use at your own risk and will not be supervised. Children 5 years of age and under must wear CSA approved helmet (3 months and younger do not require a helmet if in a stroller). The London International Airport strongly recommends all user wear CSA head protection.

It is open from 07:00 to 21:00 every day, although the availability of the rink is weather depending. Due to fluctuations in outdoor temperatures, it won’t always be properly frozen, so please plan your visit when we’ve had a few days of cold temperatures.

The rink is located north of the Airport, Head north up Crumlin Sideroad, go around the bend on Flight School Rd and park in the paved area north of the rink. Address to use for GPS is 2179 Flying Club Rd. The rink is in front of our Airside Operations Center, please do not park along Spitfire Road (south side of rink).

Bring your family or a group of friends and do some plane spotting while skating and being active outdoors!
